Citizens Bank of Edmond is seeking a high-character, relationship-driven In-House Mortgage Loan Officer to serve as the primary mortgage expert for our existing customers and the Edmond community. This is not a cold-call role! You’ll work with established bank customers, internal referral partners, and community relationships while representing a 100+-year-old, employee-owned, veteran-led community bank. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary mortgage resource for existing Citizens Bank of Edmond customers Partner closely with retail banking, commercial, and trust teams to convert internal mortgage referrals Act as the Mortgage Expert and public face of the Bank in Edmond and surrounding areas Originate a full range of residential mortgage products (conventional, government, VA, portfolio, etc.) Guide borrowers through the loan process with education, transparency, and exceptional service Manage loans from application through closing with proactive communication Participate in community events, bank initiatives, and referral-building activities Ensure compliance with all state and federal mortgage regulations What Sets This Role Apart Established internal referral sources Stable bank platform with modern mortgage tools Employee-owned ESOP — share in the Bank’s success Strong benefits and long-term career opportunity Community presence and relationship-based growth Customer Service Excellence: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service within the mortgage operations team, ensuring all customer interactions are handled with professionalism and care. QualificationsQualifications Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license 2+ years of residential mortgage lending experience preferred Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Consultative mindset — service before transaction Experience with Encompass or similar LOS preferred Local market knowledge a plus Equipment Operated Calculator, fax, copier, telephone, computer printer, and a PC with the following computer software: Encompass, Optimal Blue, Jack Henry, Appraisal Shield, Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel.
