Position Overview: Our Taymar internship program recruits and develops high caliber students to get hands on experience for a career in ticket sales, operations, corporate sponsorship, and annual giving. Each intern receive support from our corporate staff, one on one with one of our field leaders, and bi-weekly trainings to provide value to their education while bolstering the sales efforts provided to the school. We work diligently with the athletics department at all of our partner schools to implement a program to increase our team’s impact on campus. Many of our interns are hired internally and many more go on to accept full-time roles in the sports industry upon graduation, including at Taymar.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program or graduated with at least a bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or college (preferably majoring in a sports-related field)
  • Familiarity with college and/or professional sports in some capacity is required.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and desire and ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to learn and grow as a professional

Responsibilities

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products for various sports and special events
  • Complete research/prospecting projects in a timely manner
  • Handle inbound traffic including walk-ups, calls, emails, etc.
  • Present & active during meetings and trainings
  • Deliver superior customer service to all current and future fans
  • Represent Taymar, athletics program, and University with the highest integrity
  • Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales
