The 16 x Burnside Recovery Center, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet a critical need in our community: providing extended residential treatment for individuals transitioning out of Hooper Detoxification and Stabilization Center. The Burnside Recovery Center offers 3.7 Level of Care services, focusing on stabilization and support for clients with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Our integrated, person-centered care model meets clients and their families where they are, combining therapy, mental health services, medical care, and community-based management into one coordinated pathway to recovery. With expedited access to primary care, outpatient substance use disorder services, and recovery-supportive housing, our holistic approach empowers clients to achieve long-term success. This position will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, person-centered, integrated services to the community. The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical role in patient care. MAs work to support providers and clients throughout the process and are also integral members of the treatment team. MAs provide patient-centered care and work closely with all medical and clinical staff. MAs also work with client access specialists, and non-clinical staff to ensure the workflow is efficient and the client experience is positive. Additionally, this role includes interaction with clients during medication pass times offers general assistance with medication self-administration, support medical issues or concerns, as a key member of the integrated treatment team. This position has access to mental health billing and service records.
