About The Position

Skybar Doorpersons are responsible for curating the right crowd while maintaining an engaging, positive, safe and profitable environment within Skybar.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in hospitality (nightlife preferred), and/or customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CA Guard Card (required)
  • Able to stand during shifts
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Regular and on-time attendance is critical.
  • Must have a flexible schedule: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Assimilate into Ennismore’s culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all Ennismore elements.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Nice To Haves

  • Speaking other languages is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes and entertains all customers to the venue professionally and courteously, according to the established venue sequence of service.
  • Always use the 10/5 rule when encountering guests.
  • Check IDs of all patrons entering Skybar, ensuring 21 years of age for alcohol consumption.
  • Provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as our entertainment lineup.
  • Possess knowledge of the SKYBAR beverage menu and product offerings.
  • Constantly increasing knowledge of event and happenings inside of hotel.
  • Effectively communicate table minimums and ticketed events with potential customers in a positive manor.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains knowledge of the venue floor plan and table numbers, seating the room evenly and consistently to maintain venue energy/table value per venue management’s instruction.
  • Be knowledgeable of hotel amenities and hours operating of operation.
  • Communicates all relevant information to the service team, putting the service team in the best possible position to execute flawless service.
  • Works with a high level of professionalism towards all customers, ensuring they will return to Skybar.
  • Communicates with management and service staff immediately to rectify any and all customer needs and requests.
  • Other duties as assigned
