About The Position

The Doorperson represents the hotel at the main entrance by greeting guests in an enthusiastic and courteous manner. Maintains driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility as well as to ensure ample space for passenger and luggage loading and unloading and offers luggage assistance to all guests.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Candidate must have excellent guest service, and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service is required.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours at a time and able to lift up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stationed outside, creates a secure and hospitable presence at the main entrance of the hotel.
  • While standing, greet guests and welcomes them to the hotel at the front door or curb upon arrival
  • Directs guests to the Front Desk while acquainting them to the hotel, making mention of available services and facilities of the hotel.
  • Gives directions and provides important information about the hotel when asked.
  • Calls taxi for guests as needed.
  • Loads the baggage in the cars or taxis for departing guests, thanking them for choosing our hotel.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly appearance of the work area at all times.
  • Controls the traffic flow in and out of the lobby.
  • Notifies the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible.
  • Tags the baggage with the proper claim checks and gives the guest his/her claim ticket for the baggage.
  • Unloads the baggage from the car or taxi and brings it inside to the Bell Stand.
  • Assists the Bell Captain with all luggage storage and retrieval.
