ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Implement the Center’s student clinical training program, in collaboration with Mental Health Program Team. Provide individual and group clinical supervision, communicate regularly with university practicum team and ensure compliance and affirming care. Provide crisis counseling and therapeutic services as needed. Implement the Center’s student clinical training program, in collaboration with Mental Health Program Team Build relationships with university clinical programs, grow collaborative clinical counseling for university contracts, and ensure compliance with university requirements. Recruit and interview Master’s level clinical students who are motivated to serve the LGBTQ+ community, including youth ages 13-24, and passionate about becoming inclusive and affirming clinicians. Review and complete necessary university clinical supervisor training and documentation to become an approved clinical site for students. Maintain licensure in good standing and ensure compliance with BBS guidelines for providing clinical supervision. Provide individual and group clinical supervision, communicate regularly with university practicum team and ensure compliance and affirming care Provide clinical supervision of Master’s level trainees/interns, both individual and group weekly. Provide ongoing training for students to increase clinical learning with trauma-informed, inclusive and culturally responsive therapeutic modalities and provision of affirming therapeutic techniques and services. Training to include suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention and de-escalation, confidentiality and mandated suspected abuse reporting. Review and complete client and university documentation within the Center’s and professional/BBS guidelines. Assist with day-to-day mental health department operations and administrative duties, including grant reporting, and counselor compliance with policies and protocols. Provide onboarding, training, and consultation to staff and student interns/trainees. Assist with the university partnership agreements and the recruitment of new counseling interns/trainees. Provide support, guidance, and training to agency staff and students as needed. Represent the agency in a professional manner with universities and community partners. Submit timesheets and university documentation, including student learning contracts, in a timely manner, per agency and university requirements. Provide coverage for Mental Health Program Manager duties, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Provide crisis counseling and therapeutic services Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming crisis intervention and counseling services, both walk-in and ongoing counseling. Complete client documentation per agency and BBS guidelines. Maintain strict client confidentiality and suspected child abuse and elder abuse reporting requirements. Provide suicide risk assessments and appropriate linkage to crisis and ongoing resources. General Duties: Functions as a strategic member of the Center team, ensuring mission-driven services and programming. Facilitate or participate in staff meetings, planning meetings, and other meetings as required Highly collaborative with staff and leaders within the organization, and with universities and community partners. Available for clinical consultation with students and staff. Manage a variety of tasks in developing and managing the clinical training program for master’s level counseling and social work students and other related duties, as assigned.
