About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the resort standards. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. Adhere to Silverado Resorts cash handling policy. Must participate in all resort required meetings and training. Comply with Silverado Resort Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations. Adhere to the Banquets schedule at all times. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs. Report broken and damaged equipment. Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently. Set all tables according to resort standards. Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions. Clean up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly. Prepare room according to BEO and the various meal functions. Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest. Know the menu items for each function served and be able to give accurate descriptions and potential allergens. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment Certification are required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work – Exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally (and/or with assistance), and/or frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and work for extended periods of time during customary service hours.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop or reach as needed.
  • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with varying temperatures.
  • This role requires operating a golf cart.
