About The Position

The Banquet House Attendant is responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet events. Banquet House Attendants will receive information from our Management team to ensure events are properly set up. The Banquet House Attendant will also assist with the clearing of china, glass, silver, linen, tables, chairs, and props for banquet or other functions as requested and as well to attend to guest needs and requests in the Resort’s Food & Beverage areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding room set-up.
  • Ability to execute tasks independently and in a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items. Resort to provide proper tools for heavy lifting.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage service or related work, 1+ years.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, breakdown, and clean tables, chairs, buffets, skirting, and props as specified by the banquet event order or request from management.
  • Transport the necessary operational items throughout the Resort to ensure successful execution of tasks and events.
  • Stock linen, china, silver and glassware and supplies for service ensuring that in good condition.
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of all banquet function space according to maintenance programs and plans.
  • Retrieve meeting materials, props, crates, and boxes from the hotel’s receiving area and store them safely and securely.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
  • Serve Food or Beverage to guests.
  • Stock necessary F&B goods in the back of house.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of banquet events.
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed, as well in other areas of the resort.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
