About The Position

On-Air Student Hosts/Announcers host WGLT programs, either live or with pre-recorded breaks (voicetracks), under the supervision of WGLT's Program Director. Student Hosts/Announcers will use a combination of pre-built elements to build scripts for each break, then deliver that break in-studio. The position will be regularly evaluated ("airchecked") to ensure quality control.

Requirements

  • Requires enrollment in or completion of COM 162/Intro to Radio, CTK 240, or similar experience.
  • Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: -Effectively communicate on a daily basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe Audition experience (or comparable software) preferred.
