About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate OHL National Contracts and Compliance Planner to join our Asset Operation Team! The role ensures effective planning, management and compliance of national contracts related to Overhead Line (OHL) operations. It supports the delivery of OHL projects by coordinating contract activities, monitoring adherence to regulatory and company standards, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.What You'll Do Support the Planning & Performance Manager and Network Outcomes in building a deliverable Tactical Plan. Interpret and apply statutory requirements to planning schedules. Co-ordinate resource planning for national contracts (vegetation, tower paint, etc.). Work collaboratively with all National Grid delivery units to co-ordinate and manage or escalate conflict in the plan, including national support if deemed a higher priority. Ensure regular contact with the team Operations Managers and Team Engineers to review the current year delivery plans. Monitor KPIs related to statutory and contractual adherence. Managing work not delivered by re-prioritising back into the plan within current year, limiting work not done by year end. Support planning of audits and regulatory inspections. Provide clear direction and guidance to the activities of the Operational Planners and Scheduling Assistant. Track work delivery for the zone and assist the Planning and Performance Manager with reporting on deliverables as required i.e. National Contracts and compliance activities. What You'll Have Minimum ONC (GNVQ level 3) in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline or the relevant experience in a previous role. Full UK Driving Licence. Experience supporting budget management for OHL contracts. Ability to track and report on contract spend and financial compliance. Understanding of financial controls and reporting requirements. Strong understanding of compliance requirements in the utilities or infrastructure sector. A good understanding of Asset Maintenance policy and application. Knowledge of National Grid Safety Rules, National Safety Instructions and Working Procedures. Ability to manage and prioritise conflicts in real time. Ability to communicate complex issues and their resolution. Ability to multitask and prioritise. Management of resource plans and other constraints in an operational environment. Proven flexibility to adapt positively to change.
