About The Position

Main Purpose: The Offshore Rope Access Level I, II, or III Technician, safely supervises, plans, and executes rope access operations, including but not limited to inspections, upkeep, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging, torquing, assisting fitting or welding tasks on offshore platforms.

Requirements

Must possess an active SPRAT or IRATA Level I, II, or III Certification
Must possess advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques
Ability to work at heights
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be able to pass a background check
Valid TWIC card

Nice To Haves

2+ years experience as a Rope Access Level I, II, III Technician in offshore coating, construction, and/or maintenance required
Highschool diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Use rope access techniques to perform and lead rope access technicians in advanced inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging, torquing, fitting or welding on offshore platforms
Use blasting and painting tools, equipment, and techniques in the coating of offshore platforms while accessing difficult-to-reach areas
Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments
Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures and communication protocols
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of a SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Level I, II, or III Technician
Supervise and mentor Level I Rope Access Technicians, under the supervision of a Level III Rope Access Superintendent
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations with overall project objectives
Conduct on-site safety briefings and training sessions for team members
Prepare detailed reports of all work performed, including any issues or incidents
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory
Identify and remove damaged rope access equipment
Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the work environment, ensuring a safe and compliant worksite
Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for rope access work
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
