Rope Access Tech III/Insulator
About The Position
Acuren is currently recruiting for Rope Access III to support our operation in Bellingham, WA. The successful candidate will join our mechanical team, contributing to a variety of hands-on maintenance and repair activities in support of facility operations. Experience with turning valves, insulation work and repairing steam piping/tracing is a plus. We are currently seeking local candidates based in Bellingham, Washington or the surrounding area. While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, local availability or a willingness to relocate is preferred due to the nature of this role.
Requirements
- IRATA Level 3 Certification required
- Experience with turning valves, insulation work and repairing steam piping/tracing is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience operating and adjusting valves and related mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in insulation installation, removal, and repair.
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing steam piping systems and heat tracing.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial or plant environment.
- A thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications, and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and hauling and advanced rescue techniques
- A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician working within a variety of industrial environments.
- Current first aid certification
- A valid drivers' license is preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse team
- Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions
- Local to Bellingham, WA or surround area

Responsibilities
- Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
- Be conversant with relevant work techniques
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
- Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of level III
- Assist other technicians as required
- Ensure operational safety of all equipment
- Serve as a member of the mechanical team, performing a variety of hands-on maintenance and operational tasks.
