About The Position

The Offset Digital Bindery I will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This position will also be responsible for various other aspects of finishing and packaging products in accordance with job specifications and company procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary
  • This position requires applicants to be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in bindery operations or related field preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in math and able to read a ruler

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, gluers, trimmers, and binders
  • Read and understand work orders and job specifications to ensure accurate and timely production of printed materials
  • Adjust machinery as needed to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Follow company safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain bindery equipment to ensure proper working order
  • Package and process completed orders for shipment
  • Read and understand work orders and job specifications to ensure accurate and timely production of printed materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Demonstrate proficiency in operating various bindery equipment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals
  • Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Update job status in company database and provide timely feedback to customers
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed
  • Indirectly responsible for product quality
  • Other duties as assigned
