About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Support Specialist to assist with daily operations within our private duty home care agency. This position supports the Business Office Manager and clinical leaders in maintaining accurate and timely back office, clerical, and select business office support functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare administration, social services, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in home care, healthcare administration, or a related support role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, electronic health records, and general office software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.
  • Successful completion of background checks, reference checks, and any required screenings.
  • Compliance with agency policies, training requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed to support agency operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client intake, service coordination, and ongoing communication
  • Support caregiver scheduling, assignments, and daily staffing needs
  • Maintain accurate client and caregiver records
  • Provide administrative support including phone coverage, documentation, and file management
  • Assist with caregiver onboarding, training coordination, and compliance tracking
  • Conduct routine client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and service quality
