Job Summary: To provide initial patient care, charting, education to patients and to assist the physician when needed. To stock the exam rooms and to maintain clean facilities for patient care Duties/Responsibilities: Patient Care Trauma assessment Triage patient calls Obtain and chart vital statistics and injections on patients Provide patient instruction and education materials Make and chart appointments for out-of-office exams Call patients on test results Do nebulizers, spirometry, ear lavage, catheterization as needed Order various procedures/labs as directed by physician Assisting Physician Attend physicians on all pelvic and breast exams, and minor procedures Keep physician informed of his daily schedule Dispense oral or injectable meds at physician's direction Administrative Provide educational leadership to LPN and MOA staff Complete encounter form Clean and supply patient rooms Wrap and autoclave clean instruments Prepare laundry for pick-up Individual duties as requested/assigned by Nursing Supervisor (i.e. ER kit, skin/joint tray, ENT/eye tray) Experience: Must be an LPN or RN who is capable of working nursing position; caring personality with a positive attitude; calm under pressure and exhibit sound judgment; excellent time management and problem solving abilities; good communication skills; able to work as part of the back office team and must be accountable. Must have knowledge of the proper use of medical and lab equipment. Must be able to multi-task, capable and able to prioritize those tasks to keep doctor on schedule as much as possible; previous medical office experience preferred
