Position Summary : The Office Supervisor oversees the staff and assists in the facilitation and coordination of the leadership, management, and operational functions. This individual serves as a professional role model, leader, mentor, and resource for members of the clinic. Major Position Responsibilities : The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years lead or supervisory experience, required.
  • Minimum one (1) year insurance authorization experience, required.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills, required.
  • Computer experience, including Windows applications, MS Office, required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
  • To protect the health of patients and staff, and to comply with the new State of California mandates, all job offers are contingent on the successful engagement in the TCMC COVID-19 vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral.)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years medical coding experience, preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years Cerner or similar system experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Oversee staff and assist in the facilitation and coordination of the leadership, management, and operational functions.
  • Serves as a professional role model, leader, mentor, and resource for members of the clinic.
  • Responsible for employee scheduling, performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Completes all timecards and timekeeping adjustments (PTO, etc.) and approves timecards.
  • Participates in interviewing and selecting candidates for open positions.
  • Responsible for oversight of scheduling process of patients, communication with internal & external customers and medical record audits.
  • Implements TCMC approved policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
