About The Position

Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a major branch of our Armed Forces. They have a need for an Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist where you will serve as the primary Security Manager overseeing personnel, information, and physical security processes, while also supporting emergency program coordination, assisting leadership with security initiatives, and contributing to the development and proposal of new IT capabilities. This opportunity is 100% on-site in the Washington D.C. area. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must be US Citizen per client contract
  • Top Secret (fully adjudicated) Clearance
  • 2+ years of experience with Air Force Headquarters
  • Ability to become proficient in National Background Investigations (NBIS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Experience with SAP Security - Department of Defense Manual 5205.07, Volume 1, Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manual: General Procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality written communications that meet a senior (3‑star) office standard.
  • Verbal skills: able to translate technical requirements to non-technical members or clients
  • Client Relationship Management: ability to build lasting relationships with the client
  • Presentation skills: ability to present to senior clients, or present on behalf of the client in key forums
  • Extremely detail oriented, with strong skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with taking detailed notes at high-level meetings to translate to non-attendees

Responsibilities

  • Support DoD Logistics, Engineering, and Protection Directorate as the primary client, collaborating with stakeholders across domestic and international locations.
  • Serve as a technical writer and facilitator, with responsibility for presenting to senior-level leadership.
  • Act as the primary Security Manager overseeing personnel, information, and physical security actions, including verifying clearances, coordinating SCI indoctrinations and JWICS account creation, managing security in/out processing, and handling foreign travel requests.
  • Serve as the alternate Emergency Program Coordinator, leading Crisis Action Team activations, managing program training and appointments, maintaining eRoster and standby rosters, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and policies.
  • Support the Director of Staff and Front Office with security-related initiatives, including training coordination, JWICS account management, and secure communications equipment inspections and inventory.
  • Analyze requirements, develop strategic solutions, and present proposals for new IT capabilities within the client’s technology portfolio.
