About The Position

The B29/B24 Squadron is a part of the Commemorative Air Force. The CAF was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. The Squadron tours North America providing living history flight experiences for the public. This role is a vital part of Squadron Operations. The Office Manager coordinates almost all Squadron activities from meetings, to Touring, to training courses. This is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commissions and enlistment).

Requirements

  • Experience as an office manager or in a comparable administrative leadership role, with a track record of success in maintaining efficient operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite and OneDrive. Use of Quick Books, familiarity with scheduling tools and project management platforms.
  • Experience managing office budgets, overseeing expense reporting, and negotiating vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in planning and executing office events, team-building activities, or community outreach programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices for maintaining a secure and compliant office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, supply management, and vendor relations.
  • Provide administrative assistance to leadership and staff, ensuring everyone has what they need to excel.
  • Plan and coordinate squadron activities and events.
  • Act as a central point for external communications
  • Manage invoices and revenue and prepare expense reports and budgets.
  • Act as resource for Tour Leaders and ride desk personnel
  • Coordinate Tour Stop record keeping and reporting
  • Clean/restock office and common use areas
  • Complete activity reports as needed/required
