About The Position

This position is a working manager position. The employee will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinic. Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, significant others, co-workers, administration, other hospital and clinic departments, physicians, community agencies, third- party payers, referral sources, regulators and health team members. Ability to constructively supervise others. Ability to enlist the cooperation of others. High tolerance for stress. Ability to exercise independent judgement. Self-directing and organized. Ability to reason objectively. Ability to assess, project and plan for patient and clinic needs. Ability to interpret state/federal/other agency regulations. Ability to document accurately and timely. Ability to handle a variety of duties which may be interrupted or changed by immediate circumstances. Ability to interpret and understand practice management productivity reports, make projections, budget and other financial operational activities that may be assigned. Ability to work with Microsoft applications: spreadsheets, pivot tables, word and PowerPoint. Ability to work with other systems for analyzing medical practice data as needed.

Requirements

  • Business degree preferred
  • Minimum college or business school courses in office management, computer training, leadership or equivalent previous medical office management
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Completion of medical terminology class preferred
  • Experience in coding, billing, and EMR preferred
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement
  • Self-directing and organized
  • Ability to reason objectively
  • Ability to handle a variety of duties which may be interrupted or changed by immediate circumstances
