About The Position

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Office Manager/Executive Assistant performs general and specific clerical duties to support the professional personnel at the assigned location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by courses related to clerical techniques and office procedures
  • Knowledge Standard office practices and procedures, equipment, and clerical skills; thorough knowledge of English grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation and computation skills.
  • Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Maintain organization and order with other administrative assistants.
  • Abilities Work cooperatively in a team environment to meet goals
  • Organize and perform work independently
  • Meet deadlines for all work even when working on multiple projects
  • Show sustained effort and enthusiasm in quality and quantity of work

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Administrative Assistant to the Administrator.
  • Provides clerical support when needed to assist clerical staff with assigned administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, preparing documents, student enrollment and withdrawal, and welcoming and screening visitors.
  • Collect, prepare, check, and review data for records and reports.
  • Oversees the daily work activities of the office.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system.
  • Assist with monthly newsletter production.
  • Substitute for classroom teacher at the direction of the principals, if needed.
  • Type, review, and correct letters and other correspondence.
  • Direct informational requests to proper respondents
  • Support and demonstrate core values of SCPS and assigned location
  • Engage in ongoing professional development relevant to position.
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to written and oral requests for information.
  • Maintain a clean, neat appearance, appropriate to position.
  • Maintain a record of appropriate attendance and punctuality.
  • Serve as a role model for students, colleagues, and the general public.
  • Work in close harmony with colleagues, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • Comply with all District and School policies and regulations, including but not limited to guidelines for confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as required/assigned.
