About The Position

Unique Healthcare for Women Latisa S. Carson, M.D. is a board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology. We're seeking a temporary full time Office Manager in our medical office. Responsibilities include coordinating staff, guiding clinical practices, driving workplace procedures, conducting assessments, training, managing performance, and advising leadership. Establish and implement effective workplace procedures Complete practice assessments, identifying waste, problem areas, and compliance issues, ensuring practice policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations Supervise daily practice operations Monitor the inventory for medications and medical equipment and organize for resupply Interact with patients and address their complaints Coordinate/lead staff performance reviews Collaborate with Physician to develop business strategies and patient services Mains practice employee records and ensures the filing system meets all required compliance standards. Responsible for correcting and approving timecards for all practice team members. Works with Physician to uphold company policies and procedures by holding the staff accountable when violations are made. Works with Physician to develop procedures and policies relative to work performance, performance evaluations, and employee grievances. Mains accurate documentation of employee infractions, discipline, and coaching conversations. Assures that all team members are providing good customer service consistently. Must be able to work in different roles to cover gaps when another team member isn’t available. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent certification (Required).
  • Proficiency with electronic practice management (EPM) electronic medical records(EMR). Preferably Practice Fusion (Required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Windows (Required).
  • Impactful leadership style that is results-driven and values focused.
  • The ability to effectively manage employee performance and staffing needs.
  • The ability to create and communicate realistic goals and timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of medical office management experience preferred.
