About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Region Market Development team at Mercer. This role will be based in either our Charlotte or Richmond offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This role is pivotal in driving sales and revenue growth across our Carolinas/VA market, working closely with business and people leaders. This leader also directs and actively champions employee engagement initiatives partnering with other people and business leaders to affect change. Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in a consulting environment with a proven track record of generating revenue through new client acquisition.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of consulting professionals.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Prior client management and growth experience required.
  • Prior leadership/management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an indirect team of consultants across Mercer’s Health, Wealth & Career practices in the Carolinas/VA region.
  • Develop and execute the overall market business plan that aligns with sales and growth strategies for the Zone and Region.
  • Empower local growth teams to adapt and execute strategic plans, supporting Office Practice Leaders (OPLs) and consulting teams in generating revenue.
  • Lead client growth planning and execution to ensure retention and capitalize on expansion opportunities.
  • Engage regularly with clients to enhance satisfaction and gather insights on industry priorities.
