About The Position
Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is a leading multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm specializing in transportation infrastructure, roadway design, and DOT projects throughout the Northeast. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Office Engineer to support major transportation construction projects in Connecticut. The Office Engineer will provide project documentation, reporting, and coordination support for these transportation construction projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management OR NICET Level II/III in Highway or Transportation Inspection
- Minimum 6 years' experience in construction office engineering or infrastructure documentation with field inspection experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- CTDOT project experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage construction documentation: RFIs, RFCs, submittals, drawings, contracts, and correspondence
- Track and distribute technical documents using AASHTOWare and COMPASS
- Prepare daily and weekly reports, meeting minutes, and change order logs
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients
- Support pay estimates and schedule updates in accordance with CTDOT procedures
- Maintain audit-ready project files
