This opportunity entails working closely with our Contracts Support Manager who serves and oversees our General Consulting Contract with the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Responsibilities will include coordinating document, and plans review submittals within a Team of Architectural/Engineering disciplines; proactively monitoring reviews and receipt of comments within assigned due dates; managing project communications and delivering HNTB’s 4 for 4 performance (consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction on every project).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 1 year relevant experience, or Doctorate degree in Engineering
  • Capable of reviewing plans and identifying required discipline reviewers required to perform technical review s
  • Proficient with use of MS Office Suite software (MS Work, Excel, Outlook)
  • Document control experience
  • Understands the contractual language to interpret required deliverables and payment methods
  • May assist in providing training to project personnel regarding document control and record retention policies, procedures, and project management system use

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs/Build/Insight) and SharePoint Online
  • Project Controls experience and/or knowledge of Cost Estimating, Scheduling, Writing Processes and Procedures and establishing Workflows
  • Experience with managing controlled documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and SharePoint, coordinating submittal workflows, and enforcing quality assurance for project records
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong project controls skills

Responsibilities

  • Assists Resident Engineer and/or Project Manager in the administration of the construction contract.
  • Provides interpretation of contract plans and specifications and reviews contractor's shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance, as applicable.
  • Maintains as-built record drawings, project files, and records database including specifications, test results, and reports.
  • Keeps inspector's daily report of assigned work activities.
  • Performs reviews for approval of contractor's monthly schedule submittals and pay estimates.
  • Coordinates testing and monitors services as well as quality control inspections.
  • Responsible for logging, tracking, and processing requests for information, submittals, change orders, and other project deliverables.
  • Prepares project progress reports, agendas, and minutes for meetings, conducts pre-construction meetings, and assists in preparing final project close-out documents.
  • Assists in review of inspector's daily reports for conformance with the project requirements, plans, specifications, quantities, contractor's progress, and as-constructed data.
  • Assist in the review, assembly, and processing of monthly progress payments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
