Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
  • Previous medical office experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients and families with warmth and professionalism, in person and by phone
  • Create a supportive, judgment-free environment for patients undergoing lung cancer screening
  • Answer multi-line phones, direct calls appropriately, and address patient needs with empathy
  • Manage message distribution between patients, providers, and care team members
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm lung cancer screening appointments
  • Coordinate appointments based on Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and Physician Assistant availability
  • Assist with ancillary scheduling and referrals management
  • Contact patients with appointment reminders and follow-up coordination
  • Obtain, record, and maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Collect co-pays and prior patient balances
  • Provide intake forms, new patient paperwork, clinic policies, and legally required documentation
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient personal and financial information
  • Communicate daily operations verbally and via email
  • Report day-to-day activities to the Practice Manager and Office Coordinator
  • Ensure certifications, licenses, and registrations are current and compliant
