This role is essential in ensuring smooth administrative functions, efficient coordination of patient services, and seamless communication among staff, patients, and caregivers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrating exceptional multitasking skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Experience in an administrative or office coordination role, preferably in healthcare, home health, or hospice.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
  • Spanish (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records, handling correspondence, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling home health visits, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with clinical teams to optimize patient care services.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff, patients, and families, providing professional and compassionate communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, process paperwork for new admissions, and ensure all documentation meets state and federal healthcare requirements.
  • Assist in verifying insurance information, processing claims, and coordinating with the billing department to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with clinical staff, field nurses, and leadership to support office workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and order medical and office supplies to support home health and hospice operations.
