About The Position

Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. We’re creating a new category at the intersection of AI, search, and brand visibility — helping the world’s biggest brands measure and influence how they appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and beyond. As we scale rapidly across offices and teams, we’re hiring an Office & Community Manager to own the day-to-day office experience at our NYC headquarters and support a consistent, high-quality onboarding and culture experience as the company grows. This role is critical to making sure the office runs smoothly, new hires feel oriented from day one , and the environment supports how Profound actually works .

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in office management, operations, hospitality, events, or a service-oriented role .
  • Highly organized and reliable — you keep things running and notice issues before they become problems.
  • Comfortable coordinating vendors, handling logistics, and managing multiple priorities at once .
  • People-oriented and approachable — teammates naturally come to you when they need help.
  • Low ego, high ownership — you take pride in doing the unglamorous work well.

Responsibilities

  • Office Operations & Facilities Own day-to-day office operations in NYC — cleaning, maintenance, internet, security, access, supplies, and general readiness.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies, snacks, meals, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers (building, IT, cleaning, catering, deliveries).
  • Ensure the office is consistently functional, organized, and ready for people to do their best work.
  • Onboarding & In-Office Experience Support new hire onboarding in partnership with Ops — preparing the office, welcoming new hires, and helping them get oriented on Day 1 .
  • Run office tours and first-day logistics so new hires know where to go, who to talk to, and how things work .
  • Help execute onboarding touchpoints (welcome breakfasts, first-week moments, basic social connection).
  • Be the default in-office point person for questions, issues, and day-to-day needs.
  • Culture & Community Support Help plan and execute team events, lunches, celebrations, and small rituals that support connection without slowing execution .
  • Support visiting teammates and leaders with office setup, schedules, and logistics.
  • Partner with Ops to maintain a consistent office experience as Profound grows across NYC, SF, and London.
