About The Position

The Office Cashier at Rouses plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at the front end of the store. This position is responsible for performing critical accounting and cash control procedures, managing customer transactions at the Customer Service desk, and providing exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience working as a cashier or managing cash
• Basic math skills
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Greeting each customer with a warm welcome and engaging in appropriate conversations.
• Answering customer questions courteously and accurately.
• Managing receipts and balancing sales and cash reports.
• Performing safe counts and deposits.
• Recording register drawer cash pickups.
• Reconciling register receipts and completing daily sales reports.
• Preparing register drawers for cashier use.
• Handling coupons, check cashing verifications, and other forms of payment.
• Providing change to cashiers as needed.
• Understanding the store layout to assist customers in locating products.
• Notifying management of customer inquiries, complaints, or potential pricing issues.
• Maintaining a professional personal brand representation in the proper Rouse's uniform.
• Reporting to work on time and as scheduled.
• Cleaning the cash room and keeping it organized.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
