About The Position

Office Associate (Construction Management) Essential Functions: Performs office administrative support work of considerable variety that requires independent judgment; schedules and prepares agenda of meetings; sorts, processes and distributes mail; answers/screens telephone calls; photocopying, scanning and filing of records; answer questions requiring knowledge of District and departmental activities, rules, policies and procedures; prepare correspondence, memos, minutes of meetings and other documents; maintain records and files; effective and consistent communications with contractors/suppliers; maintain accounting records of appropriations and expenditures; knowledge of purchase requisitions and purchase orders; collect, update and maintain information within Oracle as required for project tracking. Additional Responsibilities: May assist in budget preparation; maintains employee records; requisitions supplies; performs related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Four (4) years of administrative support experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides
  • Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as non- safety sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position
  • Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations
  • Employees of MSD must have a "Meets Expectations" on their current performance review
