About The Position
American Molecular Laboratories (AML) is a leading in vitro diagnostics research and development company specializing in proprietary molecular assays supported by patented technologies. AML is the only laboratory in the United States providing certain specialized diagnostics, including advanced H. pylori resistance testing using proprietary technology. Our innovations provide healthcare providers with unique clinical insights that improve patient outcomes. As we continue our national expansion, we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and service-focused Office Assistant to support our client services, insurance verification, and billing operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong communication, phone, and computer skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route incoming calls while providing professional and courteous customer service.
- Provide professional customer service by responding to client inquiries and conducting daily support calls with clinics.
- Manage front desk operations and assist with daily administrative tasks.
- Handle shipping, receiving, and packing of laboratory materials, including maintaining basic warehouse organization.
- Respond to patient billing inquiries and perform collection calls in a professional and respectful manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure accurate documentation is obtained.
- Coordinate with clinic staff to obtain prior authorizations and confirm insurance information.
- Assist with medical billing activities, including claim submissions, documentation management, and exception handling.
- Support the billing and accounting teams with invoicing and collections.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
