Under the supervision of the Office Manager or Assistant Office Manager, the Office Assistant: • Ensures a smooth-running office. Perform duties in a timely, effective fashion. • Update client electronic health record (EHR) with demographic information such as address, phone number, or name changes. • Ensures security and secure storage of client records with the utmost respect for confidentiality. • Answers phone(s) and greets clients immediately, interrupting other work, if necessary, notifies appropriate staff when appointment(s) have arrived. • Schedules prescriber follow-up appointments or diagnostic evaluations based on clinical standards as well as confirming intake and diagnostic evaluation appointments one day prior. • Faxes and scans primary care physician coordination and substance abuse treatment coordination. • Using the current ASO provider, obtains initial, concurrent, and discharge authorizations to ensure timely payment of services provided • Collects client co-pays/co-insurance daily as well as balance(s) when applicable. • Provides clerical support services in accordance with Key Point Health Services, Inc. standards for quality, patient rights, availability, and nondiscrimination. • Meets performance standards established by Key Point Health Services, Inc. • Performs other duties as need to achieve program goals and objectives • Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
