About The Position

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the role of Office Assistant 3 for the Washington Corrections Center located in Shelton, WA. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with a day shift schedule.   The Office Assistant 3 creates, maintains and tracks the health records to ensure timely patient movement through a fast paced health clinic area, maximizing the use of provider time and meeting patient needs. Requirements

  • Three years of general office experience Basic Knowledge of office equipment; phone fax, copier, printer, computer, etc.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers, the public, and/or criminal justice agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduation or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Create and audit incoming incarcerated individual records.
  • Pull, process and prepare all medical records prior to them leaving the facility.
  • This position has secondary responsibility to backup office support staff in other positions within the WCC Health Services department when needed.
  • Oversees conditions of office setting and safety factors; arranges corrective measures.
  • Provide information to external and internal customers.
  • The OA3 may be required to research policies, OMs, WACs, and health records standards.
  • Participate in kite management and general mail distribution processes.
