About The Position

Nucor Steel Indiana, a division of Nucor, the nation's largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Office Administrator. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:   Telephone coverage including screening and transferring calls Greeting and assisting visitors, guests and teammates Receiving and distributing mail and deliveries Administrative duties supporting the Finance Department including Human Resources Assisting in scheduling meetings, travel and meal arrangements as needed Ordering and maintaining supplies and marketing items Organizing company events and charitable activities Maintaining and restocking office break areas along with general office supplies Facilities administration Support admin departments as needed Other administrative and clerical duties as needs arise   Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 1+ Years’ experience using Outlook, Word, Excel
  • 1+ Years’ office experience in an administrative role
  • No relatives employed at Nucor Steel Indiana due to access to HR and payroll records (per Nucor’s Personnel Policy 21)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience planning and hosting events and/or meetings
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant or Office Manager
