As the Office Administrator, you are the vital center of Nest DC’s daily operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our Washington, DC, headquarters is a high-functioning, hospitable environment for our clients and a place where our team feels supported and celebrated. The ideal candidate possesses a unique "split-brain" capability: you have the meticulous eye for detail required to manage a fleet of vehicles and office tech, combined with the warmth and creativity needed to drive employee engagement and event planning. Whether you are troubleshooting a Wi-Fi outage, welcoming a new resident, or orchestrating a team milestone celebration, you act with a sense of ownership and a hospitality-first mindset. Ultimately, your success is measured by the seamless flow of the office, the operational readiness of our assets, and the overall "delight" of the Nest DC team.

Responsibilities

  • Reception: Act as the face of Nest DC, managing the entry experience for clients, residents, and contractors with a high-touch hospitality mindset.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee daily office "readiness" (opening/closing, cleanliness, and supply inventory). Manage relationships with vendors (cleaning, IT, security).
  • Logistics: Handle all incoming/outgoing mail, package distribution, and key management for our property portfolio.
  • Lifecycle Support: Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring new "Nest DC team members have the tech, keys, and tools needed for success.
  • Culture & Recognition: Execute the employee recognition program, including event planning, milestone celebrations, and managing company swag.
  • Asset Management: Maintain the inventory and functionality of all company hardware (laptops, printers, Apple TVs) and software (Slack, Gmail, Adobe, etc.).
  • Fleet Oversight: Manage registrations, inspections, and maintenance schedules for all company vehicles to ensure 100% compliance and safety.
  • Tech Support: Conduct quarterly "tech checks" and provide basic troubleshooting and training for team members on office systems.
