About The Position

At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. Responsibilities: Collects condemn product by lot and on a periodic basis from 1 st processing. Weighs and records all condemn product, scaling product under correct code, ensuring all product is sent to correct trailer. Prepares condemn product for transfer by dying condemn product. Maintains the offal room in a clean, efficient manner, spraying screens and offal pit as needed. Set up and start the equipment, including offal grinder to meet the needs of production. Accurately record bi-product weights for container of heart, liver, lungs etc. Assists with operational clean up. Put birds in lairage area until replacement arrives Fill up all forklift tanks Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers and leadership teams. Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, and safety and food safety policies. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Ability to complete written forms
  • Ability to follow oral instructions
  • Physical ability to handle heavy objects
  • Valid forklift license
  • Demonstrated ability t o read, write and speak English
  • Ability to pass prove it test
