About The Position

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking a qualified individual to fill a vacancy within its Maintenance Department. Qualified candidates must be open to working both 2nd and 3rd shift. Job Responsibilities: Supervises a team of hourly technicians. Span of control may include supporting off-shifts as needed. Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Job Duties: Supervises a team of hourly technicians, approx 10 total direct reports. Responsible for assure PM completion and overseeing the maintenance department. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Makes repairs as needed. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 110 VAC, 240/480 VAC 3 phase. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements

Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends.
Must have experience managing a technical workforce
Must have basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork, and read technical manuals, instructions, safety and warning signs, etc.
Must be able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 110 VAC, 240/480 VAC 3 phase.
Must have knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
Should be skilled at operating welding/ brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines and other shop equipment.
Must have experience in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVPC, and pneumatic systems.
Must have ability to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladder/ scaffolds, often required to work in tight, cramped spaces.
Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes, as well as dexterity in ceiling height areas.
Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect equipment malfunctions and warning devices/ signs.
