About The Position

Andy Frain Services is currently hiring Off Duty Police for the 2025 Entertainment Season, with positions available at music festivals, sporting events, concerts, and conventions in the City of Chicago throughout the year. This role involves supporting stadium, arena, convention center, music festival, and theatre clients by addressing their security needs. Responsibilities include observing and reporting activities and incidents, as well as providing security and safety for both the venue's property and personnel. Off Duty Police Officers are expected to maintain a professional image and contribute to creating an unforgettable and safe experience for fans. This is presented as a part-time or secondary job with an event-based schedule, offering flexibility for individuals to work when they are available.

Requirements

  • MUST currently be working as a police officer, corrections officer, or a retired police officer with arrest powers in the State of Illinois.
  • Be honest, alert, and well-disciplined as custodians of employee and customer property and safety.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to facilitate progressive change, follow directions, work as part of a team and get along with other employees.
  • Work with a sense of urgency.
  • Possess clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
  • Capable of pushing/pulling/carrying/lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.
  • Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs and walk as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as an Off Duty Police Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
  • Deliver quality service and positive interaction with customers, greeting all visitors, vendors, and employees while maintaining standards of excellence in presentation and professionalism.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations. Respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities, and assist as needed.
  • Perform tasks as required by post orders, which may include wanding, metal detectors, bag search, or pat downs.
  • Be diligent and vigilant in safety awareness.
  • Know and understand post orders, revisions, and daily event needs, and be aware of the chain of command.
