Job Overview: The OEM Sales Representative will drive sales of diesel engines and transmissions in the off-highway OEM market, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers across diverse industries such as Construction, Industrial, Agriculture, Forestry, and Mining. The ideal candidate is disciplined, self-motivated, and skilled in consultative selling, application engineering, and creative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies, business plans, and achieve goals.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and applications.
  • Technical or mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in consultative sales.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience in product or equipment sales.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and secure sales of diesel engines and transmissions in the OEM off-highway market.
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing OEM customers across various applications and market segments.
  • Identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share in Construction, Industrial, Agriculture, Forestry, Mining, and related industries.
  • Collaborate with customers to provide technical expertise and sales support.
  • Work with key customer contacts in sales, engineering, and procurement to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Develop innovative products and application solutions to deliver added value to customers.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with product vendors.
  • Engage in continuous improvement through product training and sales workshops.
  • Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory (Minnesota and Iowa).
