About The Position

Triad Metals was established in 1987 and is an industry leader in distributing structural steel, tubing, pipe, piling and plate products in the US and Canada. Future expansion is on the horizon, the company continues to grow in order to bring the best steel solutions and services to customers. Triad Metals is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to join our exceptional team. The Project Manager is responsible for planning and allocating resources, scheduling work on equipment and most importantly managing the expectations of Sales and our Customers, in conjunction with Operational objectives, goals and labor constraints. They will prepare estimates/quotes, monitoring progress of jobs, while keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. This role is primarily focused on OEM parts and customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; 2- or 4-year degree preferred
  • 2 years of Project Management experience required, preferably in the steel industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Work, Outlook
  • Proficiency in Math
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills
  • Travel required to VA and IN warehouses 1-2 times per month

Nice To Haves

  • CAD experience preferred
  • GD&T experience required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget
  • Read and understand documents and part drawings
  • Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Monitor and track the progress of the projects
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects
  • Manage relationships between the shop and stakeholders
  • Report and escalate to upper management as and when needed
  • Maintain a comprehensive project documentation within our ERP and Monday.com
  • Oversee all the technical aspects of the project
  • Identify the technical resources needed for the project and source these materials from third party vendors if necessary
  • Manage any subcontracted work including onsite visits
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations
