About The Position

Concord Hospitality Enterprises Concord Hospitality is seeking a skilled, proactive Chief Engineer to lead property engineering operations and ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of all hotel systems. This is a critical leadership role responsible for maintenance excellence, regulatory compliance, and the development of a high‑performing engineering team in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. Requirements

  • Previous hotel engineering or maintenance leadership experience required
  • Strong technical knowledge of: Building systems HVAC operations Fire/life safety Mechanical and electrical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop maintenance teams
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and local building codes
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including on‑call and emergency response

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform repairs and preventive maintenance for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical operations
  • Oversee department inventory, purchasing, budgeting, safety compliance, and required inspections/certifications
  • Ensure all guest accommodations and back‑of‑house areas meet life safety and brand standards
  • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate engineering staff; lead performance development and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain full compliance with Concord Hospitality standards and brand‑specific operating requirements
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager, corporate leadership, and ownership regarding property conditions, capital needs, and safety risks
  • Lead preventive maintenance programs, workplace safety initiatives, and energy conservation strategies
  • Support and actively participate in Concord’s Leadership Development Training
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations and after‑hours operational needs
