About The Position

Axiom Staffing is hiring for an Export Coordinator! In this role, you will support international shipments by coordinating all transportation and logistics activities for export orders from U.S. plants to overseas customers. Location: Roswell, GA Shift:8 AM - 5 PM Pay rate: $28+

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of ocean export experience with a freight forwarder or large manufacturer (preferred).
Strong understanding of export processes and documentation.
Knowledge of ocean carrier lines and freight forwarding operations.
Experience with shipment tracking systems and export-related companies.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to perform standard office and administrative tasks.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of Incoterms and freight responsibility (preferred).

Responsibilities

Complete the full export shipment process, including drayage arrangements, booking, document preparation, and tracking/tracing.
Coordinate shipments with internal departments and external vendors.
Book U.S. export orders with ocean carriers via EDI or email.
Enter and maintain booking details in the ERP system and update changes as needed.
Work closely with ocean carrier operations and drayage dispatch regarding equipment (container/chassis) issues.
Prepare and submit SEDs and bill of lading (BL) instructions in a timely manner.
Work with the credit team, banks, and customer service to create bank drafts and BL consignments for letters of credit (LCs).
Compile and send shipment documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, ocean BLs, etc.) to overseas customers.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, and Production teams to manage load schedule changes and rolled bookings.
Audit ocean freight invoices prior to submitting for payment by Accounts Payable.
Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer profiles, including key contacts, special requirements, and preferred routings, services, and carriers.
Maintain monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to track carrier performance and internal order accuracy.
Support additional duties as assigned by management.
