Purpose – The Occupational Trainer is responsible for organizing, delivering, tracking, and assessing training programs that equip LPX Team Members with practical skills, safety knowledge, and professional competencies required for success in the construction industry. The trainer ensures all instructional activities align with regulatory standards, company procedures, and industry best practices. The Occupational Trainer will be a champion of the Training Program. Duties and Responsibilities – Deliver hands-on and classroom-based training in construction-related trades, safety, and occupational skills. Update and maintain training materials, lesson plans, and assessments. Train Team Members in safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations. Evaluate trainee performance through observations, tests, and practical demonstrations. Utilize feedback to adjust and improve training and offerings. Maintain accurate and organized training documentation, including records, certifications, and attendance logs, in compliance with LPX Group standards and regulatory requirements Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers (SMEs) to identify training needs and build best in class workshops. Conduct all training in an energetic, professional manner, with high engagement, while maintaining an environment that is conducive to learning. Stay current with construction methods, technology, and safety standards – updating all associated materials. Administer and participate in annual gap analysis for future workshop planning. Promote a culture of continuous learning and safety awareness.
