Occupational Therapists (OT) provide care to patients based on the application of scientific occupational therapy principles to establish, develop, and/or maintain the ability to participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Common occupational therapy intervention works one-on-one with patients, focusing on their individual needs to help them achieve improved quality of life and independence goals such as participation in school and social situations. In addition, OT’s help patients recover from injury to regain motor skills, and provide supports to patients experiencing physical and cognitive changes or challenges due to injury, disability or aging. POSITION EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Pathways established a work/life balance policy with the goal of assisting staff in preserving personal time. Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm and every other Saturday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. This is a full-time or part-time position. Individuals seeking full-time will supplement their OT work by serving as a behavior technician providing ABA therapy while building their OT caseload to full-time status.
