About The Position

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapy services to clients in assisted living facility settings or where they live. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elderly and/or disabled patients who require occupational therapy to improve ability to perform activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapist will assess patient conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to achieve optimal outcomes. Requirements

Have at lease two years of experience working with the geriatric population
Have a valid OT license in the State of New Jersey

Responsibilities

Conduct initial & ongoing patient assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment plans
Develop and implement treatment plans to improve independence with activities of daily living
Provide therapeutic treatments and procedures, including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, and manual therapy
Counsel patients on their condition and rehabilitation goals
Advise patients on pain management and self-help therapies
Update patient health records with treatment plans, discharge instructions, and notes on patient condition
Maintain professional licensure with state authorities
Collaborate with other health professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
