About The Position

Position Details : Occupational Therapist, Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday Non-Exempt, Hourly Benefited position, c overage eligibility will begin 1st of the month following date of hire. Position Summary: Evaluates, selects, performs, and/or directs assistance in educational, vocational and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, upon physician's referral. Works with family and health team members regarding patient's abilities and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon.
  • Current valid Oregon driver's license required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Must have a current knowledge of Occupational Therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts.
  • Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and utilize excellent communication skills.
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.

  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
  • Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
  • If claiming veteran's preference, you must submit a DD214, Certificate of Release from Active Duty, which shows dates of service and discharge under honorable conditions.
  • If currently on active-duty you must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active-duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted.
  • Veteran's preference must be verified prior to appointment.
  • Without this documentation, you will not receive veteran's preference and your application will be evaluated based on the material(s) submitted.
  • If claiming 10-point veteran's preference you must provide the DD214 or certification requirements (see above bullet), plus the proof of entitlement of this.
  • Failure to submit these documents could result in the determination that there is insufficient documentation to support your claim for 10-point preference.
