About The Position

Position Details : Occupational Therapist, Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Monday-Friday Non-Exempt, Hourly Benefited position, c overage eligibility will begin 1st of the month following date of hire. Position Summary: Evaluates, selects, performs, and/or directs assistance in educational, vocational and recreational activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients, upon physician's referral. Works with family and health team members regarding patient's abilities and goals.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon.
Current valid Oregon driver's license required.
Current CPR certification required.
Must have a current knowledge of Occupational Therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts.
Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members.
Must possess a positive attitude and utilize excellent communication skills.
Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period.
Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer.
If claiming veteran's preference, you must submit a DD214, Certificate of Release from Active Duty, which shows dates of service and discharge under honorable conditions.
If currently on active-duty you must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active-duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted.
Veteran's preference must be verified prior to appointment.
Without this documentation, you will not receive veteran's preference and your application will be evaluated based on the material(s) submitted.
If claiming 10-point veteran's preference you must provide the DD214 or certification requirements (see above bullet), plus the proof of entitlement of this.
Failure to submit these documents could result in the determination that there is insufficient documentation to support your claim for 10-point preference.
