Job Description Summary: Provide occupational therapy services to inpatients in Marin General Hospital to remediate physical difficulties, including evaluation, treatment, family teaching and collaboration with other professionals, including planning for patient discharge
Requirements
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum that is approved by the Accredidation Council of Occupational Therapy Education.
- One year inpatient acute hospital experience as a certified Occupational Therapist.
- Occupational Therapist Required at hire
- Basic Life Support Required within 90 days of hire
- Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to establish rapport, counsel objectively and in a positive manner, explain test results and therapy plans in a manner consistent with the families, staff’s and/or client’s communication ability.
- Must have knowledge of all aspects of physical disabilities Occupational Therapy, and the social, emotional and physiological effects of illness and injury.
- measles, mumps, varicella, and annual influenza immunizations as a condition of employment (and annually thereafter).
