SUMMARY Practices as an Occupational Therapist within the scope of care defined in the Georgia Occupational Therapy Act. Plans, implements and evaluates effectiveness of OT intervention to assigned patients, assuring a continuum of care within a hospital, ambulatory clinic, long term care facility and/or community based environment. Rotates, at designated intervals, to particular units of service in order to explore, train in and achieve satisfactory competency in a variety of OT practice areas. About Grady's Rehabilitation Medicine Grady's Rehabilitation Therapy staff strive to help you improve your ability to function and care for yourself in the most effective way. Patients are referred for service after a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, surgery, cancer, loss of limb, neurological or medically complex condition. Rehab services include occupational and physical therapy, and speech and language services. Occupational Therapy Licensed occupational therapists provide multiple services including: evaluation, treatment and education. Areas of specific interest include: upper extremity and hand rehabilitation, splinting, adaptive equipment, activities of daily living, lymphedema management and treatment, and functional capacity evaluations.
