Description: Title: Part Time, Occupational Therapist Reports To: Executive Director Role Type: Per Diem Department/Location: 100% onsite position located at the Norwood, MA, Guidelight Clinic with opportunities to float to other sites (Quincy/Medford!) Hours: 12p-4p x 2 days/week (Days are flexible!) Setting: PHP/IOP

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Experience in a mental health or partial hospital setting required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • OT Group Experience
  • Experience with Adolescents and Adults

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the facility.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities related to their mental health conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients’ specific needs, focusing on improving daily living skills, work-related skills, and overall quality of life.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges through occupational therapy techniques.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and mental health.
