Under the general supervision of the Manager and according to the established policies and procedures, plans and administers treatment and therapy programs designed to assist patients having various cognitive and physical disabilities to achieve their highest level of functional independence. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services are provided at multiple off campus locations and include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology services for patients across the life span (Pediatric and Adult). Patients may have a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, trauma, burns, chronic pain, birth injuries and other cardiac and neurology-related conditions. The goal of rehabilitation services is to increase the functional independence of our patients and improve their quality of life through state of the art, evidence-based practices. OT will be part of an Interdisciplinary team of PT, OT and SLP’s providing world class evidence-based care to patients. Primary caseload will be pediatric patients, but OT may be expected to work with some patients from other diagnostic/age groups to meet the operational needs of the department
