About The Position

Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) Reports To Regional/District Rehab Director or Facility Administrator Job Summary Leads and manages rehab department, ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising therapy staff, and maintaining patient care quality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage staffing, scheduling, and supervision of therapy staff. Ensure compliance with Medicare, company, and state regulations. Monitor performance, documentation, and productivity. Serve as liaison with leadership and families. Provide direct clinical care as appropriate. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Reports To Occupational Therapist / Director of Rehabilitation Job Summary Provides OT services under supervision of a licensed OT. Assists patients in regaining daily living and independence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Carry out OT treatment plans. Instruct patients in adaptive equipment and self-care. Document services and report progress to OT. Collaborate with therapy and nursing staff. Qualifications Occupational Therapist (OT) – Qualifications A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required. A current state license to practice Occupational Therapy is required and must be maintained in good standing. Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is preferred. Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – Qualifications A current state license in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy is required and must be maintained in good standing. At least one year of supervisory or management experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of Medicare requirements and rehabilitation regulations is required.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as OT, PT, or ST.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and rehab regulations.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Lift 50–100 lbs safely.
  • Frequent standing, walking, administrative work.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.

  • A current state license in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy is required and must be maintained in good standing.

Nice To Haves
